Altamura II - McKinney, TX

This site is a rolling falling away site bordering a creek on the south side of Ridge Road between Virginia Road and Route 380 in McKinney. It is mostly field lands except around the creek where trees and high shrubs dominate. The design process resulted in a curve linear road system with an internal walking path plan that leads you to an observation gazeebo. Off site storm water management is accomplished by a manmade "grotto" which lends an interesting feature to the site plan. 32 individual single family homesites are created and identified by an entranceway with a large circular road design with a central focal point that could be a place for special landscaping or the location of a sculpture.
